Model looks weird in game

So i exported one of my models using 3d max 9 and the newest neodex exporter and following blink boys tutorial to rig the model. When i view it in the wc3 image viewer it looks normal. But when i import it into the editor it looses all its animations and 1 arm. In game it just looks weird (look at the picture to see).

So you guys got any idea what could be the problem?

Well... I can't tell you what's the problem, but I can ensure you that you're not the only having the same problem. Yesterday I had the same problem, I had to remake the whole model because I didn't find the residing problem.

Tried doing a simple box with 2 animations and it looks all right in game. So i guess i have to redo the model. Would be good if i know the problem so i could avoid it in the future. Thanks for the help anyway!

Ah! i found the solution for my problems, it were 2 problems.
  • First i tried to make a simple box, worked.
  • After that i tried to animate the box, worked.
  • After that i tried to give it 2 animations, worked.
  • After that i tried copying the box to get 2 of the same, worked.
  • After that i remembered that i had a grid on my mushroom man, heres the first problem. When i had the grid, the boxes attached them self to the first model i placed. See this picture
  • After that i thought that the problem was the grid, so i opened my mushroom model and removed the grid, exported it. But it just where never attached to the peasants that you start with.
  • After that i remembered that i always got scale keys when i just moved any of the bones, so i deleted them and tried. And now the model works perfect!

Why do you even need a grid ? I mean do not attach 2 main bones to a helper, grid. (In this case)

Well it was my first time animating in 3ds max 9 and using blinkboys exporter so i thought i would follow his guide to the end.
