Hey guys, looking to make a pyro-type unit that adds a DoT on attack. What ability can I give him to make this happen, or is there a way to do this with just the object editor? Does this particular issue require triggers? Unit needs to have AoE that applies DoT to all targets hit. Tried giving him the Orb of Venom item ability, but there doesn't seem to be any result (on primary target or otherwise.) His attacks do the correct amount of AoE damage and display the proper animation. Unit attack stats are as follows: Attack Type: Artillery Targets Allowed: Ground, Structure, Debris, Item, Ward AoE (Full): 20 AoE (Med): 80 AoE (Sml): 100 AoE Targets: Debris, Ground, Structure, Wall Damage Base: 14 Damage Factor - Medium: .30 Damage Factor - Small: .30 Projectile Animation: Breath of Fire Projectile Arc: 0 Range: 400 Acquisition Range: 500 Any help is appreciated. |

Use burning oil with the same AoE and remove the burning effect? |

Thanks, Shadow. Burning Oil is giving me the exact effect I was looking for. I noticed that on the ability itself there are these options: Full Damage Dealt Full Damage Interval Half Damage Dealt Half Damage Interval Does anyone know if these are percentile/integer? What exactly do the intervals do? Is this damage for the DoT effect only? Or will they affect the direct damage my unit is doing as well? Much obliged. |

Full/Half is dealing with the AoE. A certain radius from the point of impact is Full, and beyond that until the limits of the entire AoE is Half. Damage Dealt and Damage Interval are just what you think they are, in integers and for DoT only. |
