Hey guys, I haven't been part of the community for a long time as I've found better things to do, but I still play warcraft from time to time, and was wondering if anyone could possibly revive the map called "Peppars Multiplayer Chess." It was one of those maps that was so polished you didn't realize you were in warcraft, and with the new patch you're unable to play it, with the error message of "The game was not found." I'm not sure what causes this error, I tried to look for any H2I, but couldn't find it anywhere in the map. I have attached the map, it's unprotected. |

Have you contacted the author? Generally, if I'm not wrong, this site does not modify other people's maps without permission even if they are long-gone; it's for respect for that person's map(s). |

This side does not allow too many realy good things. Long ago i worked over Open Dota, it helped many ppl, and no one was harmed. |

syntax errors, nothing too hard to fix, just follow error messages. |

A lot of people ask this question. Maybe we should have it in bigger, bolder letters in the rules? (I'm not even sure if it is in the rules nor am I sure if anyone even reads it) |

@Ignited: I believe the only rules stating about content are the WoW and the de-map protect ones. Maybe this particular subject isn't too big of a problem and haven't been put on the rules because of the rare occurrence of it. |

I disagree about it being polished As I recall, there were a few bugs where it would miss certain legal moves or declare checkmate too early. Other then that it was great though. |

I don't think we actually have a rule against editing unprotected maps unless it's explicitly forbidden. There are certain restrictions regarding what can and cannot be submitted (you need more permission for that), but, so long as it was released unprotected, they haven't said not to, and you don't try and steal credit (with all three of those being very important), then won't take action against you. So if all three of those apply, then feel free to try and help fix it. |
