So apparenty, Spiked Barricades is a good spell to attach a special effect to a unit via abilty so that there are no buffs or icon. Problem is, it's not working. I could use triggers but then I have to keep track of them throughout the game to delete them afterwards, and it's a very inefficient way of doing things. Can anyone request a spell (other that sphere) that will apply special effects to various attachment points of unit? EDIT: not sure if it's the right section, so sorry if it isn't :) |

Look at the item abilities. For example, the armor bonus ability. It cannot be seen and can have effects attached. |

Doesn't seem to work either. Does anyone know how to get the Spiked Barricades to work? Do you need to use upgrade for the special effect to activate? |

I use Item Life Regeneration Aura. Works like a champ and the effects use the teamcolor of the unit it's attached to, when appropriate. Note: Do not use Sphere, it doesn't use teamcolor and has extra behavior. |

I didn't find this 'Item Life Regeneration Aura', but I did find 'Item Life Regeneration'. The funny thing now is that it does add an effect to the said attachment point, but seemingly oddly enough, I only got the banish buff effect to attach to a unit's weapon. If I change the FX, nothing happens... |

Sphere works fine if you modify the fields properly, only trick is no team color. At times this can be advantageous, though, so don't count it out. The spell Panto refers to is not your "Item Life Regeneration," it is called "Life Regeneration Aura." |

Why not attaching it via hashtables? And the armor increasement item spell works, because else my JGNP is either bugged or spooky.. |

Okay, my bad. Managed to get the item armor spell to work, but it seems not for all attachments (or, again, i'm getting something wrong). I managed to attach a special effect to a Destroyer's front legs via triggers, but it doesn't work with the item ability. Also, what are hashtables??? |

Thnx all for your help and time. +rep for everybody :) Btw, I can't seem to be able to attach Eye of Sargeras to the AncientZiggurat1 model. It works via trigger, but when I try to attach it with an ability, nothing. |

EDIT: no reaction. And something pretty odd too, via triggers, it attaches the left and right front legs... weird... |
