Olimpian Hero it is an RPG campaign that i'm working at. Becouse now there are so many Warcraft 3 RPGs that are bassed on Warcraft lore, I thought about making an RPG that takes place in Ancient Greece.

The Story: You start as one of the three sons of Argonius the Guvernor of Narthan city. Becouse some tragic events that will take place in your family, your father dies. After some years your wife and children were kidnapped by an gang of thiefs named: "The Messengers of Kronos". To save your family you gave your soul to Poseidon the god of seas. And here you will begin in the game, in front of Poseidons temple.

Info: I'm planing to make an high detalied campigne with each one of the 10 maps have at least 7000 doodads. I whant to be as close to the ancient Greece mithology as posible.

Progress:
>Demo

Terrain 60%
Imports 78%
Units 10%
Triggers 24%
Story 100%
Quests 55%

>Episode 1:

-Countryside and city:

Why in God's name are you using some WoW models? They don't fit WC3 at all.

Most of the model are custom made... or the autors just reduced the filesize of wow models, don't know, maybe... only thing i know was that they said they made them and to give credits to them... And by the way if you refered about the tilesets, don't wory they will be changed soon!

They still look very out of place in warcraft 3. They just have polygon counts that are ridiculously high compared to native war3 models.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Custom models are a nice break from standard wc3 models, and spending all that extra time on looking for models might demotivate you if it's not your thing. I'd finish up at least an alpha version of your map before replacing them, if replacing them at all.

Thanks for the hard work put in the map so far! :)
I just hope you finish, unlike all the other maps in the forums that i bookmarked.

wow models will only end into shitstorms and you won't be abe to upload the map as it will break certain rules.

Fluff
As was already said, you shouldn't use WoW models or even models that look like them because

a) they don't fit in the WC3 style

and

b) most map makers think it is not acceptable to import WoW models so you will be met with some contempt.

i know it may break some rules on some sites but becouse of that the upcoming demo has only user made models and only the caracter will be an WoW model.
