Hello. I'm curious of how I'd go about altering the animations of a unit. I have no interest in creating an entierly new set of animations for a unit, all I wanna do is alter the position of a unit's arms whilst moving and attacking. Is that possible? Edit: Oh dear god, I posted in the Skinning / texturing forum.. I did not intend to do that! |

rawr. Moved. I'm not sure how you'd go about it, I believe it's possible to alter animations by importing the model into Max 5 with the Art Tools. impexpmdx.mse (the other plugin for importing models into max versions other than 4 or 5 and gmax) screws up bone positions and rotations horribly. Not sure about Warshape, Warforger or Mdlvis, they may be able to do what you need. |

Warforger, but to guarantee compliance you have to sacrifice all your hermite or bezier interpolation for linear. Only a very close eye can spot the difference, so that's fine. |

I'd add to this that you should convert Helpers into Bones because warforger cannot detect helpers and most blizzard model are animated by helpers. |

Alot of complicated talk... Convert helpers into bones? I can't even find "warforger". Warshape I found, but Warforger, no.. I have no idea of how I'd go about converting helpers into bones. I know what you're talking about, most standard blizzard models doesn't have a normal bone structure like you'd imagine it. But how the hell would I go about converting the helpers into bones? Using Warforger? And where can I get Warforger? |
