Hey guys! I'm about to make a spell that (if I get it right) locks all units in an area to the ground while still being able to attack, cast spells and similar. Problem is I don't know such a spell. It should exist and I'll have a go on it tomorrow, but I figured that if someone knew he could share his knowledge so I don't have to waste alot of time. Help is appreciated. (P.S Is this related to Triggers and Scripts?) |

Try Entangle. |

Entangling Roots stops attacks. Use Ensnare. |

Ensnare has the side effect of making air units attackable by ground attacks, but I can't really think of any other ability that would only immobilise the target. |

-100%MS Endurance Aura in area your targeted area. Put it on a summoned unit. There. |

-900000% endurance aura seems to work from my testing. Would interact poorly with poorly coded slows tho. Increasing it via both code and boots didn't do anything. |

Kwah Minimal move speed will need some changes to gameplay constants and there is no way to decrease speed to zero, unit will move anyway. (Ever with -999999999999999999999 speed and fixed constants) There is some other way to stop unit, check ROOT skills (Elven buildings) but this way a bit too hard to begin with. |

The best check is to add the blink skill to the unit you're testing on. If it gives you the "caster movement has been disabled" error with an endurance aura of -999999%, then the unit really can't move. |

Tested both Endurance Aura and Drunken Haze. The minimum is definitely 1 for them. DioD was right. |

Ensnare seems to work best. Thanks guys. |

well if you change gameplay constants you should be able to reduce movement speed to 1...which is pretty much 0 but being able to turn around... |
