At a time long before frozen throne and all the world editor goodies (like import manager) came along, I did something to change both the preview and loading screen of my map. It's now found in my file imports and called; war3mapPreview.tga But when I export this and change the picture (dimensions and file type remain intact), and export it back in, I get a critical error when I try to run the game. Anybody got some clues for me? |

there are different kinds of tga ...maybe you chose some kind of unsupported tga format. AFAIK it should be a 24bit picture, without RLE compression |

try BLP laboratory >> resave tga with it. |

I tried again, using photoshop and saving the file after flattening the image. Then the query of which kind of TGA file I wanted didn't pop up (so it cleanly just overwrote the file I had). Then it worked! I guess the layers had something to say despite the fact that TGA's don't contain layers. Well, Atleast I got it working. Thanks, both of you :) |
