Hero experience

I seem to have forgot many of the details in this game.

Does additional heroes split XP, such that a single hero will level twice as fast as if you had two? If so, is there any way to remove this "feature"?

XP is destributed. So yes...

XP editing can be done at Advanced -> Gameplay Constants

you have to trigger xp gain to disable "one hero level faster" rule.

Dragoon; You can't do this at game constants, i'm quite sure.

"one hero level faster"

so from the box, you have a primary hero that levels faster than the others? Not equally divided among all heroes?

Anyway, I aim to let players acquire an additional hero without affecting the primary hero's XP income. Is the way to do this to write a trigger that checks whenever you acquire a new hero and then DOUBLE the XP income for that player?

one hero level faster then two ffs

two heroes level faster then three

to disable this and make any amount of heroes level same time you must trigger xp gain.

Sorry, It sounded like you said one hero levelled faster than the other hero when you had two, as a primary/secondary system. I misunderstood you.

So am I right that I will have to exactly double the experience gain rate when the team gains a second hero? In other words, are your heroes levelling exactly half as fast when you get two? (probably, but not necessarily. This is just a blizzard preference I need to know)

It depends on how a few other things, like if you have global exp disabled and you just double the exp for a player, he could abuse it by then splitting his heroes up and leveling them separately with the 2x exp.

Indeed :)

Well it seemed the problem worked out itself here. I've done some experiments with the various heroes, and see that they don't level slower if I buy more heroes. This was different than I expected, but I'm glad i don't have to worry about it!
