I just remembered Makrura don't have swim animations, making them unable to convincingly function as Amphibious units. I'm working on expanding the tech tree for the Naga in the Custom Race System demo map, and thought I had all the models I need. Turns out that my problem with the Makrura gives me a dilemma; I can either get some edits of the Makrura model or drop the unit from the tech tree and struggle to find a replacement, probably another Mur'gul unit. I only need swimming animations added to the green Makrura model. The model path is: Units\Creeps\Lobstrokkgreen\Lobstrokkgreen.mdl Time is not a big deal as I don't have a deadline or anything. I do, however, need a response sooner than later, as I want to wrap this up as quickly as possible. Just in case people aren't familiar with what a swimming animation looks like, here is a picture of a swimming Snap Dragon and a Makrura obvious lacking a swim animation. |

Crabs and RoC Murloc models also lack the swim animations. |

yeah it is, Jania can't swim either. i would offer but i already have 2 obligations, and I've never added animations to an existing wc3 unit before. there's a small chance i could do it if i finish what I'm on now but i really can't make any promises |

Archmage, Makruras and Naga are natural enemies according to WC3 lore, so this alliance shouldn't happen. If you share with us your idea of the techtree, we could find something better that fits and gives honor and elegance to this wonderful race. |

I'm aware, moyack. I read that Naga farm the Makrura for food at this wiki. I already have an alternate unit selected, the Mur'gul Duskhunter, and ready to implement if I can't get a model for the Makrura. If you're interested in the techtree, I have all the information on Google Wave. |

Since I'm nearly done with the Naga, I'll go ahead and replace the Makrura with a Mur'gul. Case closed. |
