Steampunk

Some of you maybe didn't see this until now. I'm showing you a terrain from a contest called "Steampunk".

Wow. That's pretty sweet.

Nice terrain, though I don't feel it really captures the obscure mismatched feeling of Steampunk. This just looks like downtown England circa Industrial Rev.

Agreed with Darkwulf, steampunk needs an element of wondrous anachronism: giant robots, flying battleships, tesla coils, and death rays. This is just a (well terrained!) industrial setting with some balloons.

Still good, though.

From what I've seen of Steampunk (that isn't very much), it's like... Victorian meets Sci-Fi Industrial Revolution. Gears, whistles, steam pipes, robots, etc. matched with the high-class old-world Victorian look are, essentially, Steampunk... I think.
