Hey there i am new here and i have some questions regarding custom models for warcraft 3 and the necessary steps you need to take to make the exportation to MDX file formats work. i was playing on starting out with a statue of some kind to get used to modeling very low poly and making textures for it, but after looking around on this forum i haven't found answers to a few questions i have. 1. When you just have a model thats supposed to be solid without animation, do you still need to add any kinds of bones or notes that states its a solid object ?. 2. How do you tell a material to be 2 sided so that it works after the conversion ? 3. what is the average triangle limit people stick to for a model ? 4. what is the maximum texture size (256x256, 512x 512, etc) for example a character? 5. I seen a few tools, but which exporter do you suggest when exporting a character with both rigged animation and vertex animation ? well thats all for now ;D.
