I've created an ability based on charm and a buff based on sleep and I've added the buff to the charm spell via: Stats - buffs in the object editor, but the buff never shows up on the target when I cast it. It changes to my control, but the buff is not applied. Anyone know what's going on? ![]() |

I'm not entirely sure how Charm's specific buff works, but I'm definitely sure adding another ability's buff type to another ability of a different type can make it go wonky. Try adding a buff based off of Charm, and if it doesn't work, I guess you'll have to use a custom buff/another ability to get this working. |

Oh, ehhhh, I checked the default buff that comes with charm and I didn't see a buff listed (the area of Stats - buff was empty for the default charm ability). edit: I did a quick search for a buff that might belong to charm and aside from possession, (that buff didn't work with the charm-like spell either), I couldn't really find anything. x_x |

Apparently there's no buff associated with Charm then :/. You could either add a dummy buff by a dummy ability through a dummy caster detected by triggers after your spell is cast, or base Charm off another spell with a buff and do the player-change actions through the trigger. |
