Camera Boundries...

I was wondering if there was any way to set camera boundries besides on the outer portion of the map?? K..lets say i have a camera locked to a unit, and swings with the units motion....sometimes the camera gets caught behind a cliff or something. Is there any way to make a camera boundry along a cliff or something so that the cam just stops wen it hits it?

sorry if im unclear o_O

thx.

No, the camera coundries are simply set the outer limits for the camera. Since the game is not normally played following a certain character, there isn't much need to have anything but (and would have been hard to implement).

Simple solution is to not use locked chase cams, which are very evil.

Well, I agree I don't really like locked cameras. If there is just one character though, it sort of adds to the atmosphere (if you use a lot of additional cameras). However, I usually start maps out w/o locked and give the option of locking and tell how to unlock. A lot of people don't know that Ctrl+C resets it.

maybe make it so you can switch to an overhead cam as well as the chase cam to get you out of that problem

the only problem is that its based off the game dynasty warriors 3, and, if u played the game, the chasing camera is a major part. Above camera angles just wont look right

Yes, i agree that the veiw im planning on using is a lil hard to work with, ive gotten pretty good at making it easier, and fitting it to the surroundings....we'll just have to see what it looks like wen its done.

i have 4 out of 10 skins done...
Dong Zhou
Xaihou Dun
Zhang Liao
and Fu Xi...

any help with skinning i can get, i need BADLY..and im not talking about perfect skins, just some copy and paste work is all im doing..

i hope i can figure out some way to get those camera boundries where i want...oh well

thx.
