How to set a item-type price using trigger ??

not sure what purpose you have for changing item price so this might not be what you were looking for. but.. you can remove and create item at your selling unit (building or unit) and then make multiple versions of the same item but with different prices

Collapse Actions
Neutral Building - Add Tome of Experience to (Triggering unit) with 1 in stock and a max stock of 1
Neutral Building - Remove Tome of Experience from (Triggering unit)

then you can change your events and conditions to what you need them to be. also the item and unit (building)

I was trying to create a "random price variation", so this method doesnt fit at all, but thanks for your response.

Make the item-price zero and write into the item description that it will cost a random amount of gold.
Then you just have to trigger the gold loss with a random number.
