It no longer runs for me (since I installed Windows 7). When I checked, it seems no one can get it to work either using the new OS. Any alternatives to it? Or perhaps a way to make it work again? Thanks. |

I have it working in Windows 7 absolutely fine, but I did do an in-place upgrade from Vista so there may be old artefacts keeping things alive. What error are you getting? Perhaps we can help fix it. Magos' Model Editor provides *some* VM functionality, as does Guesst's Warforger. I've heard rumours of MDLVis but I know nothing about that program. |

I'm going to ask stupid question but have you tried compatibility mode? what have you tried? |

Well, Oinkerwinkle's tools are very, very old and it is highly possible that they're simply incompatible with newer OSs. However, you might still want to check Oinkerwinkle's site. When I first installed Vertex Modifier, I received an error about something I no longer remember with a link to Oinkerwinkle's site, saying that there is a tutorial about fixing it in there. So I suggest you check around and see if you could somehow find a tutorial in there. |

it's also possible that xp box will fix it although I've never tried it and don't know how to run it. |

Well, as I can think of now is MDLvis, it's a russian tool (there is an english version, but it's unstable). |

The best program is mdlvis, those russians know how to make a good program. its in a russian site, but if you google mdlvis eng or mdlvis english, there should be a rusian website. If you traduce it with google, you can find the download link. It has some bugs when geomerging(when detaching vertices)but it's by far the best tool. DOWNLOAD IT!!! |
