Hey, I've been trying to find a way to change the loading screen of a map without wc3editor with no luck so far. I made sure to set the data in the war3map.w3i to say LoadingScreen.mdx and put both the LoadingScreen.mdx and my FullScreen.blp into the main file location using MPQEditor. Despite this the screen still doesnt show up. Is there something else that needs to be done before I can manually set the new loading screen? Note: Both the LoadingScreen.mdx and FullScreen.blp were already tested in another map and worked. |

Before I tried deprotecting, translating/updating, and reprotecting, but this kept giving me various bugs in the map so I decided to just apply everything with an mpq editor which worked fine. The loading screen seems to be dead though so I wanted to put something there. |

By evil I hope your not inferring that translating abilities from Korean to English for a dying map would fall into this category. You can look at my last posts and see the general idea of what I've been doing as I don't think translations would give me a significant advantage in game play (unless you consider Azeroth vs Kalimdor games). The map is, to say the least, not all that popular in the English speaking TFT community and the map being in Korean isn't helping. I wouldn't say its making a comeback, but having the map in English seems to have been slightly beneficial over the last few months. In any event, the creator is MIA and the map is going to vanish into nothingness as many do over time without a fairly dedicated set of players. I've given credit to the original creator and I know without a doubt that cheats are beyond detrimental to an already dead game. I suppose you might have me on advertising the clan a bit during the loading. |

I'm not sure if it didn't like my location, but I tried placing loadingscreen.mdx in war3mapimported and used a different loadingscreen.mdx which worked. [Resolved] |

the guy has a point. at any rate the whole map protection thing is annoying. i left a good but buggy map behind on an old computer. never to be recoded to non-buggy perfection. |
