ive tried a few, and i always get messages like "AVI file contains no movie data" and "File type not recognized". does anyone know how to actually extract the Movie's from the MPQ's?

You don't "extract" the movie from the mpq simply because it's not an MPQ!
The following MPQ aren't MPQ at all:
HumanEd.mpq
HumanOp.mpq
NightElfEd.mpq
OrcEd.mpq
TutorialIn.mpq
TutorialOp.mpq
UndeadEd.mpq

These files are just renamed DivX AVI using the DivX (TM) Decoder Filter v5.0.2.0 (Copyright © DivXNetworks, 2001).
This codec is stored in the file "blizzard.ax" (in the war3 drectory).
To play the movies, install DivX codecs 5 and just open them with the media player. You don't even need to change their extension but you can if it makes you feel better.
In case you don't get it, rename for example "HumanEd.mpq" to "HumanEd.avi".
You need the DivX 5 codecs. If you really want to convert these to mpeg2 (DVD), in my opinion it's a wast of time.
Anyway, try the sites like http://www.doom9.org

ok, i installed the DivX 5.0.2.0 codec's and compied HumanEd.mpq to a different folder. i changed the file extansion from MPQ to AVI and then tried to run an AVI to MPG converter but the converter could not recognize the file. did i miss something?

Possible yeah. I don't think AVI2MPEG supports DivX. Try Nanadub or Virtuadub (look doom9.org), they'll do it.

Nanadub and Virtualdub are giving me the error "Couldnt locate Decompresser for format 'BLZ0' (unknown). Virtualdub/nanadub requires a Video For Windows (vwf) compatible codec to decompress video. Direct show codec's, such as windows media player, are unsuitable"

Does this mean that i have to intergrate the DivX codec's to Nana/vurtialdub somehow?

Why do you want to put them on a DVD? Just get the collector's edition, which has MUCH higher quality than the ones Blizzard squeezed onto the CD. See if wherever you got your copy from will let you exchange it for the "same" product, but collector's edition. Or get a friend to lend you his whenever you want to watch them.
