Taurens eat...?

I'm 99.5% sure they're vegetarian, but do they eat meat? Considering their whole culture I'd imagine that they do, but I remain a skeptic. Not so relevant to the common person, but I'm asking because it has to deal with lore consistency. I tried WoWwiki and everything else I could find, but nothing talks about what they eat. There are people around here who have read the books. Is there anything about this particular subject in those?

I'm pretty sure they eat meat, considering they are mostly hunters, and in WoW, the first Tauren quest(or it USED TO BE, I'm not sure about cata) is to hunt some plainstriders to gather food in preparation to... Something.
