Im not sure why, but my excel spreadsheet doesnt seem to be able to read certain parts of the abilitydata.slk. Its only two parts, but the problem is that it makes it unable to edit it straight from excel. And i tried giving it the run around, opening it in just plain old spreadsheet, then saving it in excel format, then after fixing the abilities up, saving as an slk. But still doesnt wanna let me do this. So far this is actually the only slk that gives me problems when openning it. Im using win xp office, excel xp. Maybe you all can tell me. And i didnt post this in map development because this would have gotten ignored, or woulda been flooded with newbs saying the same thing. And just something i noticed. xp kinda looks like someone with their eyes closed tight with their tongue sticking out. |

Guest | The XD or XP I though signified someone freaked out or dead. Anyways, the problem seems to be by using a spell editor. Apparently, somehting the editors do corrupt the excel file. I only mod using excel now, or nothing will work. Have you used any editors? I know that beta one causes problems. |

Guest | Uh, outa my own curiosity, I was wondering how much harder it is to use note pad instead of excel? The tutorial said it may become a pain in the arse... |

If at all possible, us a free spell editor or Excel. Notepad is a headache because of all the formatting information that's everywhere. |
