Hello there. Maybe you'll call me newbie, cos I am new to the forum, but I worked with Blizzard editors for many years, from W2, Starcraft to W3 FT. As Tolkien fan having read all his work, I am taking on some campaign projects. There's many LOTR maps and campaigns made by fans, but I want to make campaign from the book The Hobbit - There and back again. Original W3 models gives the creator a lot to improvise and accommodate into wannabe story characters, so it's a great deal and good work to have new and new models. Say would there be chance to have separate library of Tolkien world models? Hobbits, Tolkien Elves with their subgroups, Rohan, Gondor, and Tolkienish orcs and goblins - those are not Warcraft-like too greenish beings, rather disgusting brown pig-orcs. Also, is there to find Archmage unmounted with sword instead of staff? (For Gandalf with Glamdring blade) |

Search around a bit; there are quite a few models and skins that can work for many of the characters either here or at the hive. Good luck on your campaign! |

Thanx a lot, I gave a look at many of those models. As a token of my gratitude, I'll post here my today's creations: Bilbo - as a villager (original human villager without some animations), Bilbo wearing a cape and hood (that was given to him by the dwarves), and then Bilbo with cape, hood, wielding Sting blade, having team glow as a hero. All of these are according to the book. However, the cloak and hood are team color, according to book it has to be dark green as dark green player. Sorry for laziness editing the rifleman texture Bilbo.zip these models are probably incomplete, so post any comments needed and I'll reply. One comment and question - as there anyone at the forum who does or did some voice acting? It could be very useful to me as long as I wanna make my campaign with voice acting. There are lot of epic campaigns made by fans, but to my dissapointment everyone is afraid to give it the voice. Subtitles without voice is very disturbing and lacking of power and athmosphere. That is my strong opinion from which I shall not refrain. By this I also wanted to react to campaign makers to make some revolution in it. |

There are people who are willing to do voice acting out there and we have a forum for it. However, I would recommend that you bring your campaign very close to completion before requesting it, as most people will not want to do a lot of voice-acting work for a project that might never finish. |

Yeah yeah, your point is well taken. If a campaign was meant to have voice acting, it should be worth it. By my post I rather wanted to remark on the fact that there are not many of such campaigns. But if anyone knew of some, I would gladly take a look on it, seeing that campaign makers go forward. |

Yeah, gotcha. I agree with you that it's definitely an underused component of single-player maps. |

My reaction on the Pandaren-remade Gandalf: I can't say I like it, cos all the anims are pandaren's and this "gandalf" is too dwarfish for his height. Plus, doesn't have the team glow. On the other hand, I like him having head of white-haired and white-bearded paladin, but it isn't sufficient. I would rather base on original model of Archmage mounted on horse. However, two such models would be needed. One mounted, one unmounted. Would it be a big problem to make one model of Archmage walking? |

you might want to use these 2 as wizards in that case. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/m...ist%26page%3D2 http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/m...ist%26page%3D2 |
