Hey everyone I'm an guy from the USA who can do gruff scottish and english accents. I am currently looking for work. so, anyone interested hit me up. I can do the following kind of voices/character types: -Kain (legacy of kain series) -Drunk Scotsman -Scotsman -Brooding Hero -Comic Relief -Monty Python Style Old-Lady -Demon Voice (Death metal band experience yay) PS: I do high pitched demon imp voices and low growling demon lord voices. |

Splendid! Being able to do scottish accent you could do voice for some dwarves, couldn't you? May I ask, do you have some phonetical/phonological experience? Cos I study english at pedagogical university and I must thank God for the subject of "Phonetics and phonology". As long as you can know I am from Slovakia, it's pretty damn effort of our teacher to drill us correct british english pronunciation. But it's well worth it - I got it "into my blood" training at home various game speech and reports, looking forward I'll have also part in voice acting. Frankly said, I am quite dissapointed of the fact that only few campaigns (if any) made by fans do use voice acting at all. This must change. Maybe you could upload some utterances made by you, prepared and recorded at home, if the admins of this site don't mind - I don't know the rules concerning the sound files. Of course you would do best having some sound-proof room with computer and microphone for recording. And heck why should I not continue? It seems we have lot to discuss and maybe cooperate. Maybe we could discuss on the factors of suitable voice acting for individual characters. What factors do you think are important? I would say the age makes some importance, also individual voice of an individual and then there are abilities to imitate another voice. For example I, being a 23-years old lad, could very well do voice acting for elves, british talking humans, possibly little scottish accent for some dwarves. The voice anyone could do is for mentally stupid trolls and ogres - now I don't mean WC3 trolls, cos they are "Jamaican" :). The voices impossible for me to imitate would be old man voices for example Gandalf. Or, perhaps, there are some solutions...? |
