Like make it so when I hold down the forward arrow my character walks forward or attacks if I hit a key... I was playing the FPS demo and they were able to lock movement by holding keys... I don't want to do anything really crazy like changing the camera and all that. I just want to make it so you can move and attack by holding down a key for my action-rpg |

if its single player, use camera movement. if its multiplayer, you can use a really complicated trigger system that is in development that works about 75% of the time - which isnt yet released for public usage ;) |

But how would using camera movement move your character? |

The smooth motions are part of the program accompanying the FPS MOD. Nobody really knows hows it's done except the guy that made the program, and I'm sure even if he let you use the program for your map it would be hella complicated to do. Just forget about making an FPS and let the pros (FPSMOD team) do the work. There trying to make the FPS system as customizable as possible so hopefully you'll be able ot make your custom maps with FPS controls once they release the final version. |

Im the dude who wrote it, it isn't that complicated to interface to, but i wont tell you how... not till we are done. And yes the program does all the magic(keys and mouse). |
