Well, I was working on something else, but then I thought ´´hey, a shroom ancient!´´

That's all I guess...
well,it uses no custom textures. For the paths,leave them that way.
-Custom birth animation.
-Edit: Oh,and as a unit producer building,it also has a stand work.


The model is big for a unit,but average for a building (270kb)
-Icon included


I'm creating more ancients,so please give ideas o.o
I've got a cherry tree,with a bow and shit like that,but it has sooo many stupid bugs... one day I'll fix it.


Edited: Sorry,I've had a bug and I have to start fixing over again.
I Won't place another f***ing light in this model.

I love the googly chameleon eyes :D

Shroom Ancient is a pretty sweet idea, I gotta admit. I'll post more in the morning, a bit short on time right now.

Shall I add something to the jaw so it won't be transparent anymore,or should I leave it this way? (hmmm a crazy tongue...)

I propose to make the base of the ancient's building mode much bigger, as it looks way too small and weak right now. Also would be better if you used mostly blue mushroom texture and removed from the building mode the red lower mushroom head.

It's pretended to look skinny and weak. I've tried using more blue texture,but doesn't look good. The blighted shroom does look great,though.

Definitely fill in the lower jaw and probably do something to make the teeth stand out a little better. Also, it'd be good if you could make the nose more distinct from the rest of the face while you're at it.

The team colour could probably be integrated better, as it's just too small to be noticeable right now. You might even have to use another texture entirely just for the team colour areas.

The legs are looking a bit random and messy, probably use more of the red than the tan for the lower legs and it'd probably look better if you used the stalk part of the texture for the upper legs. Basically anything that looks stalk-like would work better with the stalk texture.

The building mode is looking a little thin on the lower area, now I understand that you want to keep him that way so I suggest putting a ring of smaller mushrooms growing up around him. That'd anchor it pretty well.

If you're feeling adventurous, try for an effect like the glowing blue mushroom doodad ingame... actually, if you could have some parts of the model like luminescent mushrooms (with a light effect and all) ... man, that gives me chills. That would be very awesome indeed. Like if you made say, the eyes glowy, the big one on his back glowy and a couple of small ones growing out of his shoulders glowy. It'd balance out the composition really well, I think.

erwtenpeller had a really great drawing of a mushroom dude in the Sketch Dump that would be a great reference for what I mean about the glowy-ness, but it seems imageshack ate it :<

Added the new version,I'm sorry for the delay.
I didn't add no lights, because it kept crashing the game. If anyone was kind enough to edit the model so it shined,I'd be very grateful.(Of course,that stands as +rep :P)
