Need some help with a map

I need help with multiple things, so i made this thread to put all them in in hopes someone can help me.

I need help with an aura that is for the Footman that gives it 12 defense per level, and adds 4 defense to nearby units, as well as changing the armor type, all three in two levels.

I also want to make a radiation-like effect, one that can be found in Swat: aftermath.

i keep seeing these game menus in custom maps, like in ORPGs, how do i make those? and also make them affect how the game plays.

you cannot change armor type without making a new unit.

be effect do you mean visual or something that does damage? either way do it with buff.

not sure about custom menus, may be something here in the tutorials section. don't remember what they're called.
