Hi, I've only just discovered this site and am looking for a few single player campaigns. Can someone recommend a few well made ones? I've got no idea where to start and would really appreciate a few tips. btw: not sure this is the right forum, but couldn't find one better fitting. |

Not really a campaign, but a very good single player "map" that is quite long: This Wreckage as well as its "prequel" When the Freedom Slips Away. There's also Hero RPG which is technically a campaign because it uses the "custom campaign" feature but iirc is just one huge map where you go around like a classic RPG and fight turn-based battles. |

Dwarf Campaign. Heroes of Genesia. Story of the Norj'hal Elves. (Not sure if that's the best link\latest version, would appreciate some news on that) Best campaigns out there, imo. Oh, and don't forget to play through Rao Dao Zao's "When the Freedom Slips Away" and "This Wreckage". By far the best maps out there... Period. |

I have always been a fan of Wanderers of Sorceria. http://wos.campaigncreations.org/download.shtml It's massively long (since it was developed during pretty much the whole life of Wc3) and has quite a fun (and epic) anime-esque plot. The main strengths are the plotting and characterisation: I think it has some of the most developed characters in a Wc3 campaign. Technologically it's also not bad: it gets more sophisticated as you go through the campaigns, athough RazorClawX did make an effort to go back and improve the old ROC-era versions of the early episodes. It's also a labour of love, and has some cool music. I highly recommend it. |
