I've been downloading some systems lately, and when I wanted to start test maps, wc3 would simply crash one third into loading either of them, but it is still fine when I copy the code to MY map. Any thoughts on what could cause this? |

1) Those maps may be old, and are using some nonexistant triggers\bugs that Blizzard fixed. 2) You may not be using Jass New Gen Pack, or the latest version thereof. 3) I have no idea as I am not a coder. |

Did you open and save the maps in the editor before you tested them or did you try testing them as you downloaded them? You should try both and see if results differ. Also, which specific maps are we talking about here? Try opening more such maps to see if the problem affects them all or just a the few you tried so far. |

Those maps are old, but are supposedly compatible, as I am sure stuff on this site gets better compatibility updates than any other modding site's. Anitarf, it was actually your vector system that brought this to my attention, I just thought there was some flaw with the sample map, although I have successfully copied the library to my map, the functions work perfectly but the sample map still crashes the game. This is how I've figured out that scripts don't crash the game. ANY system sample I've got from this site, and older maps do this too. It's not a script problem as it keeps occuring even when I delete all the scripts. And whatever I do, it won't load those maps, no matter what I've removed. It did not happen prior to patch 1.26, and I've been out of modding for a while, in fact, I've "retired" back at patch 1.22, so I don't know what could be causing this. I've reinstalled wc3 and TFT, patched it, got a fresh copy of JNGP, updated jasshelper, updated TESH, and the problem still occurs, both with the maps I have opened and saved (thus recompiled) and those I haven't. Really, really weird. EDIT: Could someone create an empty new map and attach to the post? I want to check out if it'd crash wc3 for me, because I can run every map I create in WE. |

Are you using a mac? |

No, a PC, Windows 7 64bit. An update on this, Anitarf's Cinema Workshop test map loaded perfectly, it seems my wc3 has got problems with all maps made before the 1.24 patch or something. |
