Game crash problem

So my friend and i wanted to play one of his maps (World's Hardest Game) but discovered that now every time the game starts his game immediately crashes.
This didn't used to happen but its been a very long time since we last played it.

I was wondering if there's a common cause for this?
The game hasn't crashed for anyone else. As mentioned, he is the maker of the map, idk if that makes a difference, just trying to supply as much info as possible.

I've seen games that kick the map maker (and only him) as soon as they finish downloading, but never one that crashes in game. If someone knows the likely causes of this kick scenario, I'd like to know that too.

other stuff:
the map compiles fine for me in we-u
I/others can play it with/without a bot
he can play other maps successfully with me as host
he uses windows
i can play it using his name as any color... ie its not some trigger that reacts to his name that he made which causes a desync just for him
he gets about 1 second into the map before he crashes.

mucho gracias for any information

If you're playing in a MAC, then this could be the reason. There's some functions that doesn't work properly in this OS.

I can't think of anything else that would be just him. You could try going through the map disabling 1 trigger at a time until you isolate the crash, that's about all I can think of xD

this is what i usually do when something like this happens, so i had him send me the unprotected map and there's something like 200 triggers.
i want to help, but... just no.
if i had an idea of what to disable, then this might be ok

With bisection, it shouldn't take you that long to find the culprit. Disable half of the triggers first, then if the problem persists disable half of what's left, else enable back half of what you've disabled. You will halve the number of suspects with each step so you can find the culprit in about 8 steps this way.

is there any way to disable masses of triggers at once, or do i need to right click each and every one?

also its still 8*number of problems
hopefully thats just 8 but yah never know.
