Mappers are always in need of good testers. And there are no better testers than other mappers. MAP TESTING SATURDAY is a periodic testing event where you can mutually test maps with other mappers. Next date: 2012-02-04 (YYYY-MM-DD) If you have a map you need tested and/or want some negative feedback from other mappers dust off your bnet keys and team up with other mappers. Post your bnet nickname, and approximate time you will be online. (Make sure you use UNIVERSAL TIME.) ============================== nick: cohadar utc: 16:00 ============================== Default testing server: Azeroth (U.S. East) When you login to bnet join channel: MTEST This will make finding other mappers much easier. Friend each other and than do some serious testing. Some guidelines:

Wouldn't it make more sense if we did this over something like Hamachi? This way servers wouldn't be an issue, we could talk through it (or some other service) to find people who are ready whenever (and not just a specific time), and lag would probably be much less than it is over b.net. Regardless, Anopob US East Azeroth Probably around 10:00 UTC (according to that site that's 5:00 PM EST) |

Kino Any Server UTC: Probabbly 16:00, but just dump a pm on my profile when you need me as a tester. (I dont have much to offer to test) |

EST(Eastern Standard Time in North America) = UTC - 5 hours so 10:00 UTC is 05:00 AM EST I think you need to recalculate your time. Hamachi is not an option, too complicated to set up. As for solving multiple server issues we could just pick one as default. I will post a pool on this. |

Er well it says 10:00 PM when I convert to UTC/GMT from 5:00 PM my time, so sorry is that 22 UTC? ... Yeah I think that's right. |

Yeah, that's it. Anyways, since we don't have many asian members on wc3c, the most logical server to pick is US East Azeroth since it is in between US West and Europe. modifying first post... |

I am currently online on Azeroth, channel MTEST. wc3 is minimized so you have to whisper me something if you want me to notice. /w hello would do just fine. If I don't come right away use the time to install yourself some message sniffer. I use wc3banlist (don't install WinPCaps requirement, you can just use WinSock, preferences->network->WinSock) |

I am usually in the wc3c's chatroom, if you need another tester you can get me there. My chat client automatically flashes if someone says my name in the chat, so just do that and if I'm not afk or in the middle of doing something I should respond in a few seconds. |

If you people ever need someone to simulate a total noob ingame talk to Anitarf. He is so good at being bad he makes other people play bad. You will all die on level 2, even on easy mode, even in game that has no levels. EDIT: Ok let us review out testing saturday event: 2 Maps were played: Old School Alliance Tactics and 4vsUndead Old School Alliance Tactics
4vsUndead
Map testing Saturday is a periodic event. If you have a map that needs testing, join us next Saturday, location will be the same. (U.S. East) Azeroth Server, channel MTEST |

Scheduled for this saturday (2012-01-21) is in development version of: Orcs and Humans: Tides of Darkness It is one of the rare WC2 in WC3 mod attempts that actually delivers on the promise. It is a 1vs1 melee map, the setting is a group of islands, so there will be naval battles, yay! Do not be afraid, I have not played melee in so long I will probably defeat myself. (competition is OK, but keep in mind that map testing is about feedback) Come oldtimers, lets have some good old wc2 fun. Time and place are the same. EDIT: We will play with "no heroes" option, wc2 all the way. |
