Hi

I'd like to export a high-res image of a wc-map, created in the editor. Is there a easy way to do this, or a tool I can use?

I searched the forum and google and couldn't find anything.

The idea ist to print a large scale image of the map and use as a board game on an RPG event.

This is a good example of how it should look like, just much bigger: http://goo.gl/Plizgz

thanks & cheers

That's a really cool idea.

Unfortunately I have no clue how to help. Good luck!

There's the "view entire map" option in the editor, but depending on the size of your map it might kill your computer if you use it. I also don't know if a fullscreeen screenshot is high-res enough for your needs.

Another possibility might be to make a large map, then divide it into smaller maps by shrinking the map bounds. You would then take the generated minimaps for these smaller maps and stitch them back together. Since the minimap preview is small, you'd need to divide your map a lot to get an image with a higher resolution than the previous method I mentioned, though. Ideally, you'd need to figure out a way to automate the process.

I took 9 (top left, top mid, top right, mid left, mid mid, etc..) screen shots zoomed in from "view entire map" (as this makes it flat rather than tilted from normal view) and stitched them together myself. I eventually scaled it down to be minimap sized but you don't have to do that. Time consuming but works.

Whattaguy.

Man this is a good idea; it's like making your own custom Risk/Settlers of Catan maps or whatever.
