Ok, I've got a game cache working and it'll store/restore etc just fine. My question is, where is this file stored? WE says it's going to be saved as a .w3v file, but the only one's I've ever found are the campaigns.w3v. Secondly, notice how it says save real value etc and when you choose those the little tip is to restore it use Game Cache - Load Real Value........that isn't in the list of actions.......wtf.......... |

Guest | Anything you can share? I can't get any cache working for the life of me, evenv though I appear to have done everything right. I mean, I just copied the triggers from a Bliizard map for the most part. Edit: Well, it might be something else. I assume Death Sheep is supposed to work right? |

I can help. This will work for all single player maps even if you leave and open the same level again. It will also work for multiplayer but if you leave the map the cache is deleted unless the next map trigger is used (or so i'm told). Anyway, the way I used the cache saves the unit's type, so you can't say have two death knights in it. If you changed this to store it by the unit's name I believe it would take the hero's name and you could store two of the same hero as long as the names were different (I think) but when loading them out you'd have to know their specific names. |

Guest | Thanks, I figured out my problems though. Multiple STUPID user errors. My head hurts from banging it against the wall after I saw what was wrong. |
