Look at Ark TD or any TD look at the triggers, some are more complex then u think, it depends on what ur making. If u r making a TD just look around see how it's done.

To actually answer you question would take PAGES. And the answer would be specific to your map for some parts. I'll address a couple of points, but the best advice/answer is what PigChow said, DL maps and check out the triggers. If you don't understand what all the triggers mean in terms of game play and such, play the map using "iseedeadpeople" so that the fog and mask of war is removed allowing you full view of the entire map. Hopefully that would clear up some stuff for ya.

Now to create units simple create a trigger with a periodic event or unit enters region, whatever works best for your intentions. Next set any conditions you feel may apply. Then make an action using Unit - Create. Select which units, how many, and where you want them and POW!! you have spawned some baddies.

To tell the units you just created where to go, simply create a trigger with a periodic event or whatever. Set the action to Unit Group - Pick all units and do action. You can pick all units in range of something, all units on playable map, all units for player 5 in range of Obelisk 0034 <gen>, or whatever works for you. Then tell them all to Attack-Move to or Move to or Patrol to whatever Unit or Point (region) that suits your needs.

That is it in a nutshell. It can get FAR more complex than that. You can generate a random number and each number sends the unit to a different location. And of course, you can create Unit Group arrays to control groups as they are created and issue orders to it based on conditions and dialogue and events that take place in game.

If, after reading the above, your mind is filled with the overwhelming question of WHAT? Then I suggest you spend a lot of time ready through the availabe events, conditions, and actions available in the WE and then DL a butt load of maps and go through them piecemeal till it all makes sense. Yes, WE has a lot of limitations, but within those limitations is a great deal of possiblity. It is up to you to figure out how to make what you want, possible.
