Instead of using the zepir editor to create a map 480x480 you can now do it with regular WE, but someone help me out here, I found out the variable reference in the strings is %d to the max value of cells, the number is 36864 (sq = 192 - default max map size) Does anyone know where the values for variables are stored?

Erm...you can already do it with WE through the worldeditdata.txt file. You can't really change the values either, but it's most likely that Scio or Zephir would know where the references are specifically.

Finding it, while nice, doesn't achieve much more then what we can already do. Don' get me wrong, it's an interesting prospect and a nice find. But overall, editing multiple files instead of just one doesn't seem very efficient to me :).

No I mean so you can use WE to modify description and stuff on a larger than normal map. Thats what bugs me, zeps editor changed the names of all war3 files to unknowns so I dont like it.

1. you can make maps 480 x 480 in UMSWE 3.6
2. you can import a listfile to a Zepir-saved map with any mpq editor. (I also mentioned this to you in a different thread)

Btw, path painting works fine in Zepir's, check my Pac-Man map for a demonstration. It can be found on my site.

1.You cant create 480x480 in 3.6
2.I know, I'm just trying to find a way to keep it all in 1 editor

I know it works fine, but when you save in Zep's and open it up in WinMPQ al lthe files are unknowns.

1. sorry you are correct. I noticed the two 480 fields and thought... well technically a map could have either dimension, just not combined :)

2. that will be more burdensome than you think. What I do is use mpq2k to add in the path file. I have made a batch file that does this. Every time I save the map and want to test it, I run the batch file et voila. Piece of cake really. I used the mpq2k that came with umswe and edited the batch file that came with it.

Anyways good luck
