I'm having some trouble getting this thing working...I download the zips of WinMPQ, RunPack3.zip, and Vbr4.zip, and when I try to use WinMPQ it tells me it's missing some .dll file. So I extracted the other two zips into the WinMPQ directory(am i supposed to do this?), and it still gives me the error. so I noticed that the .dll it's looking for has the file extention .dl_, so i changed it to .dll and it says it's corrupted...help :( emote_confused

oh yeah, hi guys n' girls :)

You are NOT supposed to put them into the folder of WinMPQ. Since I'm too lazy to explain it again, I just copied and pasted some "tutorial" on how to install WinMPQ that comes along with my "Warcraft III Spell Autoimplementer":
Quote:
Installing WinMPQ:
Despite of the fact that this is quite easy there are hundreds of requests in forums on how to do it. Because my
program needs WinMPQ installed correctly I will explain it here.

1) Downloading the required files:
Go to http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.ne...ad.html#WinMPQ
Download all files where it says "Required Files".
These are:
- WinMPQ: http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.ne...cgi?WinMPQ.zip
- Visual Basic 4 Runtime: http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.net/download/Vbr4.zip
- Runtime Files Pack 3: http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.ne...d/RunPack3.zip

2) Installing WinMPQ and the required stuff:
- Installing Visual Basic 4 Runtime:
Extract all the files from vbr4.zip into some temporary folder. Then run setup.exe. If the setup is done you should delete the temporary files.

- Installing Runtime Files Pack 3:
The same as above for RunPack3.zip. Be sure that, if you use the same temporary folder as before, you have deleted the files extracted from vbr4.zip to avoid any conflicts.

- Installing WinMPQ:
Just extract all the files from WinMPQ.zip into a directory (I'd suggest to use something like C:\Program Files\WinMPQ\). Run WinMPQ.exe to test if it works.

Note to Moderators: This is why I posted some weeks ago that we (the community) need a "FAQ thread" that answers common questions like this. I hope you think seriously about it.
