Guest | im working on the treacherous lands RPG (see "Treacherous lands team gathering") and i want some ideas for spells for this RPG. there will be a total of 48 spells. There will be 4 levels of spells: low power, medium power, high power, and godly power. there will be 3 types of spells: archer, monk, and fighter (ranged, straight magic, and combat) each spell type will have 16 spells, four of each power level. Any ideas are welcome. |

For the monk person mayby be a mass possesion for the high or godly power? I think i already know how to do this 1 |

Just my thoughts/ suggestions: Archer: Low: Flamind arrows; will set units tempoarily on fire. Medium: Tracking; will make a specific unit visible to you wherever it goes. High: Assasins' Shot; deals an instant very high damage. Godly: The Great Hunt; multiplies your movement, attack rate, range, damage (or just some of them) Monk: Low: Heal; (nothing really to say about this) Medium: Holy Shield; makes a unit invurnerable for a set amount of time. High: Conversion; touches a unit, turning it to your side (high cooldown. Godly: Guardian Angel; summons a very powerful, divine creature, who will attack everyone trying to kill the monk (will be uncommandable, but EXTREMELY powerful) Fighter: Low: Throw Weapon; throws whatever weapon he has at an enemy, dealing damage (I know it sound lame) Medium: bah, I don't really have any more ideas for this guy... ... ... |

heres some ideas for the units. change names if you want ARCHER eye of weakness:sees weak spots of units, chance to do more damnge multi arrow:can attack 2+ objects arrows of rain:shoots a wave of arrows in the air that come crashing down on the enamys arrow of the winds:arrows that stun an object and have a chance of going throu to hit others. big radius MONK redemtion: dose damege to unit holy water:heal pray:target unit has more armor and attacks do half damege gods will:god shall smight thy foes FIGHTER frenzzy:faster movement and attack, loses health strike of doom:dose damege to all units around it warrior code:gets random abillity from unit it kills for a few seconds.if unit has none then it gets health mana and armor for awile streangh of all:like avatar |

Guest | great! thanks for th ideas so far guys they are great! we still need more than 8 spells for each unit though, if we use only your ideas (and all of them). The mod is coming along great! Here is a list of what we have left to do: 9 maps (terrain and cinematics) 3 models (holding bow, holding staff, and holding sword) 9 skins, and 24 spells (ideas). WE are doing extremely well for such a small team. |

heres more Archer: speed of the arrow:archer gose and shots faster eye in the sky:can see farther and shoot farther reflexs:like evasion one with the bow:think of it as steroids MONK staff of light:stuns and redusces units sight for awhile guardien angle:knight of ni's but not as strong and flys but hovers over target unit. dies when unit it on dies gods voice:knows the weak spots of units and can do more damage Condemtion:binds the unit of ropes of fire and slowly destroys it FIGHTER Sword of dread: when a unit is hit has a small chance to run bronze skin:armor & health boost to all ally units around him cease fire:like divine sheild but you cant attack driven blade:gives him enough power to split a unit in 2.like finger o death but for close range |

Guest | hmmm im posting this to hopefully get some more ideas flowing in this thread (and for the most important purpose of all *bump!*) Archer: Low: calmness (think Legolas in LOTR): attack does small amount of extra damage. Medium: Sniper's bolt: a super long-range combat spell doing fairly large damage with high cooldown. High: Brutality: transforms archer into a powerful close-range unit for a short time. Godly: Impaling bolt: 25% chance of instant kill Monk: Low: Meditate: recovers mana, medium cooldown Medium: Poisoned darts: Monk deals poisoned attack High: Agile mind: steals mana for every hit Godly: Nerve strike: 50% chance stun, 25% chance poison 20% chance high damage, 5% chance kill Fighter: Low: Intimidate: make weak enemies run away Medium: lunge: deals high power attack, but stuns fighter for a short time High: Rage: affect immunity/ spell immunity for a short time Godly: Bonecrushing: Deals high damage and heavily slows enemy, also dealing periodic damage afterwards. Well there are some ideas, now lets hear yours! |

how come the monk has so many mana stealing spells, but his other abilities seem passive. ideas: Archer: scout, flame tipped arrows, some summoning spell, windwalk, critical strike, piercing arrow (modified shockwave), ice tipped arrows, poison arrows, mark (modified faerie fire), Dexterity (uses item +agil ), Paralysis arrow (stuns), Set trap monk: evasion, critical strike, paralysis strike (bash), internal energy attack (shockwave), flaming fists (searing arrows but melee), Paralyze (cripple), bless (inner fire), windwalk, iron shirt (adds defense), cure (healing), Excorcism (modified dark rit that targets enemy- also heals life and mana), charged fist (melee chain lightning), prayer (modified scroll of protection), stone (modified defend- immune to piercing, but moves extremely slow, also bonus to damage), Cleanse (dispel magic), Energy Drain (vampiric life stealing attack not aura), Illusions (mirror image), preach (mind control) fighter: evasion, critical strike, bash, warcry(thunderclap), battle orders (roar), Strength (Avatar), Rage (bloodlust), Taunt (curse), Leadership (devotion aura), Fear (reverse endurance aura on enemy), Swordskill (defend - reduced defense against piercing for increased speed and offense or switch stuff around), Mastery (increase damage like item claws) ok thats it for now |

are u doing trigger spells? if you are: archer: pierce- chance to pierce through target hit and continue to next immolated shot - creates fire at point of impact that deals damage to enemies caught freezing arrow- freezes (not just colded) enemy hit explosive arrow- explodes at point of impact dealing splash damage while activated Jaded arrow- target loses mana sleeping arrow- chance to cause target to sleep with each shot Poison roots- modified entangle (not a custom trigger spell) monk: Blink- teleports where u click Paralyze - freezes enemy (but no cold graphics) and cannot move until unparalyzed. if target is paralyzed then it will be unparalyzed. this will not unfreeze frozen enemies Flaming Spirit: just a modified immolation, but enemies that attack the monk will get damaged over time by fire. Power Strike: deals huge damage and knockbacks enemy Focus Pain: damage dealt to caster will be transferred to a target enemy unit until the enemy unit is dead fighter: rush: charges at enemy (fast speed) and deals huge damage and stunning enemy Thorned Shield: damage dealt to fighter gets returned, thereby reducing some of the damage done and also hurting agressor while spell is active. Multistrike: Strikes multiple times at the time of 1 Fend: Circles around and hurts all enemies around as well as knocking them back Swordforce: ranged attack that is based on shockwave, but enemy gets knocked back well thats all for now most of these will probably be based on searing arrows (you cant combine 2 of these on the same character) or some timed spell. |

blink is 1 of the spells for the NE wardan hero i the EXP. it telepors you for a short distince. also should we just wait for the expansion to come out so we can eazyly edit the spellsemote_confused just acomment |
