When I go to create a special effect in the trigger editor it shows up as "Abilities\Spells\Human\ThunderClap\ThunderClapCaster.mdl" There is no .mdl in there, it's .mdx what's with this? I'm trying to get a teleporter to look like mass teleport/teleport scroll and I noticed this.... Normal? |

Guest | Nothing to worry about. Just give them the required extension. |

II always use extension mdl, I didnt even know it worked with mdx. A possible reason though I am not entirely sure, is mdls can be destroyed instantly, while mdx takes about 5 seconds, I have not tested this, but hopes its the case. |

when I use mdx they are destroyed right away, theres not even a .mdl in the folder. |

Guest | Hmm, about the mdx's supposedly being killed after 5 secs instead of instantly. I don't think that is true, some models simply don't have death animations and will remain on the screen for a period of time. |

Well, the truth is that all models take about 3 or so seconds to dissapear, but the ones that disappear fast are the ones that become specks (cant see them) on death. But for some mdx's this just wouldnt be good, since when a peon or something dies it needs to be visible. Just thought i would point this out. |
