Blizzard has just posted a new screenshot where you can see the new Crypt Lord in action and his new set of abilities (Impale, Thorny Shield, Carrion Scarabs, Locust Swarm). You can see some of the new undead arachnid units, too. |

You get to see the carrion scarabs (most likely like the necros ability, but more each upgrade). and impale probably lets him charge through any ammount of enemies and dealing small ammounts of damage to them all, but stunning the target and hitting it for alot more damage. Thorny Shield is probably like thorns aura, but only for him, and probably much higher (50-75% damage?) And locust storm probably works as a irradiation spell (think starcraft) that deals massive damage to the target over time and all units around it. Great versus those mass huntress players. And hes strength based, i was able to figure that much out. His hp is high and no agility hero gets hp that high. I think the highest is the demon hunter with around 900 hp. But still, I think he will finally give the undead the muscle they need. Great versus single hero rushes if you get the spike shield first, and great to hero rush with if you get the carrion scarabs first (kill a worker, make a scarab, kill more make more). Hes everything that i wanted in an undead hero, i might return to the undead now that hes with them. And good eyes rich, i didnt see the skely mage till you said something. Thats probably the new raise dead mage spell for the necro. But i wonder how its gonna work, will he start with it, or will there be a third upgrade to his spells? |

To start with I'll say the Blade Master has 1000 hps in lvl 10 sp the Demon Hunter isn't the one with the most except in Demon Form. Ugh, those Scrarabs look weak, I'm gonna stomp on them like... er... BUGS!!!! Hmm... have any of you recognized something odd here: The thorny shield is passive, but in the second "slot". Passives, if not ultimate, useally are in the third slot, interesting.:...: :hm: |

Aaaaargh!!! Why can't people learn to just add things to their posts instead of posting again and again and again... Anyways, I wonder what the thorny shield does now. It can't burrow him anymore since it's a passive. Don't tell me it's a solo version of thorns aura, it just has not to be, that would be much too lame:nono: |

ah amazing blizzard are jsut to good now days nobody stands next to them with warcraft 3 and for the crypt lord he looks massive but i do get what people say about him looking more insect which he does now he really does with teh wings and front claw action this is more of an insect rather than spider but hey he still looks kool i wonder what the other heros are going to be like now :mtk: |

Guest | Hes everything I wanted, and I play Undead, so Im happy... But Im getting REALLY worried about Thorny Shield, I REALLY want this thing to be the "Lurker from Hell" I thought he was... That would suck if it was just a solo super-Thorns Aura. I mean, its a good move, but I want my Lurker... |

Well, previous thoughts of his abilities are definitely different now... we know thorny shield is not his ultimate and is passive, we know that Carrion Scarabs is not simply something like water elemental that he just summons out of no where (this can be seen because it is an autocast spell), and the swarm is now the ultimate. The Scarab auto cast ability could infect units that he attacks, so that upon death a scarab will come out. |

Guest | I think that those bugs are scarabs. Blizzard took my idea even though it was only a thought about having a scarab as a unit. |
