Unit Move to...then runs back?!!?

Why oh why do you run home, little peasant? I issue a Move To Region X in a trigger, and it works great. The little dude runs right to where I want him. But then the little sucker turns around after 1-2 seconds and runs back to his original location. What gives?

INFO
unit is a human peon.
unit is neutral passive, but switched to neutral hostile before being given the Move To order.
Unit is pre-placed in the map.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Just a thought, but most units return to their place of origin after attacking etc. One reason for the peon might be a need to harvest, etc. If you don't NEED those abilities for that unit try removing them. Or, maybe you need to get him further away from his origin? Other than that you may need to add a 'pause' action for him. :bgrun:

Just guessing. Hope it helps.

TucksMa is right, if you give a computer unit a order, when he reaches that spot he will just turn around and go back. Only thing you can do is tell the unit to hold position, then tell him to stop, i belive that fixed the little problem

ChoboMapper
the trigger

Ai-ignore guard poisiton for player x

makes it so units dont run back after you tell them to go somewhere.

there you go, i knew there had to be a better way, i also noticed there is recycle guard postions, perhaps that will make thier new postion be a guard post?

Take that back! MY way is great. When they enter region X move him instantly to his current position. He runs back because if you ever noticed nultural units ALWYAS return ot their set place. Try it on any nutural hostile unit who is chaseing you. (I ran into this problem during one of my campains)

::takes back high-five:: (because remove AI doesnt work on peon type units)
