Guest | This may be a basic question, but.... How do you change or edit the sound sets? What I'd like to do is add some combat sounds to certain units/sound sets. For example, I am creating a Gargoyle that has no ranged projectile attack. The combat sound for the Gargoyle is attached to the projectile. That means a Gargoyle with no projectile is "silent" when attacking another unit. Other than attacking silently, I want all the normal Gargoyle sounds. So....how do I add a sound for this? I know I can do it through a trigger with the following: Event: Unit owned by Player X is Attacked. Condition: (Attacking Unit) is in Unit of type (Gargoyle) is true Action: Attach sound Y to Attacking Unit Action: Play sound Y Action: Stop sound Y after fading. But this seems pretty cumbersome and clearly I have to have an event for each player and nuetral hostile. There must be a better way of doing this....hopefully without implanting anything (file size is a concern). |

Guest | You can change the sound set of a unit using the normal WE too. That's not what I want to do...I want to EDIT an existing sound set and add combat sounds to it. |

You gotta get into the unit.slk to do that bud. Er, i just called you bud. But anyway, if you wanna do that, it wont work on bnet. Ive never got a unit.slk to work on bnet, and this recent upgrade didnt change much. |
