Hrmm, Ive read much about HardCoded auras. And i wonder: If i want Command Aura to affect emenies (Not increasing , decreasing). Should i just change in AbilityData.slk from "friendly" to "enemy" or will that affect em like the normal command aura or will it do the oppsite? :bgrun: My self, as you have read i dont know a thing about it, but some of you might do..... if so, cant u help me? |

I believe so, if you set the values to negatives. |

Yes use negative values and change the targes to ground, air, enemy, notself and ANY aura can effect an enemy. |

Lets see if I got it right: for example Unholy Aura -150 in Life Reg, wuold it be the "negative side" of the spell? |

Ok, if you take unholy aura, and set it to enemy, and give it -1.5 it should decrease the hp restoration rate by that much. You can do this as a slow aura too. |

Thanks for the tip! I used that info to make a new ability for my Knight character: Leadership (from devotion aura) Level 1 - enemy armor reduced by 1 Level 2 - enemy armor reduced by 3 Level 3 - enemy armor reduced by 5 |

My My, Wish i knew as mush as u guys.... *jealous* Anyway thx for the help. So it shouldnt be in % in the slk, i should be in decimal? |
| 02-12-2003, 08:42 PM | #8 |
Exactly. Certain parts are percentages by default, and those are normally 0.5 or something like that. Dont make the mistake of making a percentage spell 100, cuz that would be 1000x the normal ammount. |

Guest | I recently made a spell called Lifesap Aura that does -2 -4 and -6 armor to enemies. I like it :) |

I got an active aura, its like the paladins holy shock from diablo 2, basicly it shocks all near by units every 3 seconds and drains mana until deactivated |

I was bored once and made an aura that reduced all enemy movement by 100%. Whenever they came near they couldn't move ^_^. Sorry that's straying a bit. Anywho, I'm glad to see that this time around when the question on offensive Aura's was asked there wasn't any conflict. I have a little test map lying around somewhere that I made a long time ago giving examples of the Auras reversed if anyone is interested. ~kharma |

Guest | You can: Drain Mana (brilliance) Lower Attack Rate (endurance) Lower Speed (endurance, unholy) Lower Armor (devotion) Heal on attack (thorns reversed=vamp) Decrease ranged damage (trueshot) Get injured on attack (vamp reversed=thorns) |
