I just have a quick question about zephirs editor. First of all, i dont need a tut on how to use it, Im just curious as to why my map wont open in it. WHen I go to open my map, it gives me at least 5 errors and then refuses to open. I was wondering why that is...and if theres a way to fix my map so that I can open it in his editor. Also...I kinda have a newb question about it. Is it possible to make different kinds of water with it? Cause I dont want to have green water in my Ice level. Thanks a ton guys. |

The water color is based on the tileset. If i were you, i would take a blue (or whatever color you want) water tileset, and change the tiles with zepirs editor. To do this, just make your map in zepirs editor, and save it, then choose create new map, but dont create it. Select the cliff tileset, and copy it. Then cancel, open up the options of your current map still while in zepirs editor, and paste those into the cliff set. Do the same for the tiles, and you should be fine. But sometimes the tiles dont show up right, but either way it should work. This will get rid of the old tilesets though, so you cant keep them all. |

dang man...Well the thing is that I cant even open my map in zephirs editor. And also, my map is really far in.....and it has green water in the intro...So what do I do...... ://// I thought there was a way to add more than 1 water type....Crap.... |

Well... if you wanna change it, then your only choice would be to rename the blue water tiles as the green ones would be named, and vica versa, to keep from overlapping. You could do this and put them in your map i believe, but im not sure how well it would work on bnet if thats were you plan on using it. If you need more info on how to do this, ill give you more, but for now i think you should get it. |

Yeah I get these errors now as well. I think it may have something to do with the newest patch (1.05), but I'm not sure. All I know is that before this patch the editor worked well and now it does not. |

Ok, let me say it this way. Open up the war3.mpq, and extract the blue water tiles. Then rename them with the green water tile names. Then impelement them, using the correct path, and poof blue water. But im not completely sure this still works with the patch, so i guess you will have to test it out. |

What you could do, is open up your map in WinMPQ (assuming that still works, if it doesn't your map is corrupt) and extract all the files in it, create a map using Zepir's editor, nothing matters what you choose for tileset/size etc. Save the map somewhere, then open THAT map up in WinMPQ and delete all the files (close WE/Zepir first) and put all the original files in there, if that doesn't work, reinstall WC3 |

How do i set bounderys with the editor. Specificly because im trying to make a map with boats and i need to set bounderys so that if a ship(a flying unit) goes out of the water it crashes but if a land unit comes out nothing will hapen too it |

In the terrain palette there is 3 tools vertically on the side, they are BLIGHT, BOUNDARY and REMOVE BOUNDARY, use the boundary tool, it shows up as a black square. |
