I don't know such a tool. I guess it wil be almost imposible to do this. Check the scheme: 1) The game will open unitUI.slk. We can't redirect this to another slk file. 2) Inside this SLK we know wich model the units are using. 3) Inside the model we know wich textures are they using. This way we can "trace" where the model is located. |

Just protect the map, your map won't be able to be loaded into WinMPQ. |

Guest | I have Mqp view I can see the files in proteced maps and get them out. what protector are you using? |

Protected maps can be opening in WinMPQ. There is no way to protect models. Anything war3 can read, we can. |

It isn't possible to protect models, sounds, etc inside a map. The best that can be done is to prevent the standard world editor from being able to open the map. If you use my protector, the file names won't show up for the models so it will take a little bit of work to get them out, but it won't be impossible. |

His protector kills the internal listfile, however every mpq editor also uses an external one, so it really doesn't do anything. |

As JollyOven said: if you have a listfile, you can extract from MPQs. The newest version of WINMPQ allows you to extract even tough you don't have a listfile. There's no way to protect MPQs, altough using extrarius protector you can prevent your map from being opened on the world editor. |

Well, if you name your model something like XRGJSAL.whatever then the viewer won't know the name after you protect it, unless it scans the unit file and slk files for names (which seems unlikely, but its not possible). Anybody could still extract the model, but the real n00bs wouldn't know if its a model, sound, texture, etc. Anybody with basic experience could still steal it, but most experienced people seem to have more respect(and would probably ask to use stuff instead of just stealing it). |

It's possible. How about using W3M Map Utilities Power Protector? If your map has been locked by W3M Power Protector then can't be opened with any mpq tools. |

Ghost, yes, it can. If war3 can open something, we can. Repeat that for a few hours until you understand it. |
