Use excel, or if you don't have it, one of the many spell editors. |

Ok night, ill give you a few ideas. Get excel (hint hint wink wink) and use that. Its very easy to use, as long as you know what your doing, and doesnt take alot of effort. And since you all seem to have a bit of a problem with it, ill write a spell editing tutorial, exposing some of the lesser known spell editing tricks. But for now, you will have to do with the one on thats up now. |

ur missin a whole shitload, chief. The spell editors do a ton more than just editing mana cost, duration, cooldown..... That is what the 4 data fields are for. When ur lookin through the things u can edit, ur gonna come across something that says data11, data12, data13, and data14.....or something like that. Those are unique to each spell and are basically what non trigger-aided spells are about. Like for instance---blizzard. One of the datas is the amount of waves, one is the amount of shards per wave, one is the damage per wave, and another is the time between waves....i think. Its like that for all kinds of spells. If u have a spell editor that has the tooltips in them, then it will tell u what each data field does.......if not..... then u just have to open excel and look in the boxes for the corresponding spell data fields. in the office xp version of xl, it has little red boxes, i dont know if this is in all excels, but if it is, then just frag ur mouse over it. But most likely the editor will have the tooltips built in. I use wiebbe's spell editor, i would use Daishi of Deaths editor, but either it doesnt have the tooltips, or i cant find them, so i use wiebbe's. Hope this helps! EDIT: Ya, listen to electromancer, he got his post in 41 sconds b4 mine, but he is right that excel editing is easy if u know what ur doin |
