I have tried WinMPQ, MPQEdit, MPQview, MPQ2k and more I can't remember. None of them works for me, and I have the newest version of WinMPQ (MPQControl) and MPQView. WinMPQ corrupts the files. (Mostly WAV and SLK files) MPQview crashes and says the archive is broken. I'm fed up with it.. what's wrong? If someone can, please provide me with a link to whatever tool that works. Sincerely, Atomvinter |

Nope, actually I was going to mention your name in the post if I hadn't forgot it :) Is that the name for the program? I'm gonna do a search on that. |

I'm done with it, BIGMPQSPECIFICEXTRACTOR does the trick - good. :) Thanks DJBnJack! |

MPQ Veiwer doesnt crash, you need to put it on the Warcraft III directory, and DJBnJack when I try to export in BIGMPQExtractor, sometimes it says file is corrupt, then I can't extract the file. But BIGMPQExtractor was really fast. |

Guest | actually you dont have to put it into the directory, its safer not to, i just copied the war3 to another folder and edited the copied file becuased i can compile it later on and put it back in without damaging the base directory in any way. |

Guest | TX that did the trick.:D [edit]- I spook to soon, when I try to run the BigMPQ program it gives the following error: "component 'Mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". I have both that file and the storm.dll in the same map with the BigMPQ. I'm obvious doing something wrong, I just have no idea what? |

Well, you could give this a try: Part 1 and Part 2 AND the 1.48 EXE. Get the 3 archives, the 1st two ones go together. The last one is an update because I put the wrong WinMPQ.exe in the first pack. :p The, read the readme.txt in the first pack. DJ: Sorry, once again I did not support your BigExtractor. The version I have has a big bug: it calls thousands times a process and crashes. :-/ |

1 - there is only 1 version, someware in march I believe (and I lost the code, so there) 2 - You shouldn't extract alot of files at the same time! 3 - You can't extract files that are in the root (some stupid coding bug) 4 - You can extract files in the root (in the case of .w3m) by selecting the Extract All (note: don't do this on war3.mpq, you will crash your computer =) ) Greetz, DJBnJack Ps. the 1000x 'prosses' is because I use a command-line tool (CMpq.exe) for the extracting, and I didn't put a slower on it Pps. I might mess with the WinMPQ code (if I feel like it) to fix the newest version (and enable the options menu: it IS quite usefull you know) |
