Gathering a skilled crew for a campaign.

My name is Fredrik and i am currently looking for skilled people
to put together for a campaign.
So far we allready have a skilled artist working on concept art
as well as a talanted graphics designer working on the 3d models.
I myself work on map design, storryline, basic triggers and spell editing as well as working on the homepage.

But we are far from complete, so that is why we need skilled people to join up with us.
At the moment we need people skilled at:

Advanced triggers.
Spell making.
Map detailing.
Skinning models.
Making new models.
AI scripting.

If you feel that you are good in any of those areas then send
me a message and we'll work something out.
Our homepage can be found at www.dancing-lights.tk
The layout is just temporary and will be changed as soon as we
get enough material concerning the mod.

First of all i'd like to appologuise for the problems with the homepage, i had to throw something together before going down town to meet up with some people, but i will have the problems with it fixed and the minor typo's fixed.
By the way, we have another person with the crew now. He will take care of the camera related triggers and objects as well as work on puting more details to the maps on his spare time.

Anyways, the story...
Since it feels a bit wrong messing with the timeline used in the official warcraft campaigns the setting will be set at a time before the warcraft 2 campaigns (since i don't remember the storyline from warcraft 1, shame on me.)
A time when humans lived in Kalimdor.
The story evolves around a race of lizardpeople who long ago migrated from kalimdor but now return to their old homelands, only to find that a strange new race has spread all over their old homelands, namely humans.
The different races meet and both sides presume the other to be savage and brutal and an conflict seems unavoidable.
But dark forces are behind much of this conflict, playing both parts against eachother.
Will they realize this before it is too late? or perhaps even at all...
The story spurns around a few lizardpeople and humans mainly and the unknown dark force.
Old alliances are renewed and new are made, and sometimes broken.

There is alot more to the storry, but i thought it a shame to leek it all out now.
I have much of the story figured out allready, but not all of it.
If you feel interested in this then i think we will have all the trigger makers that we need for now.
But no mather what you choose, we still need:
Skinners.
Modellers.
A spell maker. (even though much of it will probably be done with triggers.)
And someone who can do some custom AI.

I changed the url to dancing-lights.mine.nu instead
it was .tk that was responsible for the problems with the javascripts. However the page looks a bit shabby still untill i have time to read up on the "new" html i will be using in a future version. That will also reduce the size of the page (which is ment for broadband users.) so it can be viewed by dialup users too without a problem.

Uh, humans never lived in Kalimdor. I'd read up on your WC history and story before anything else.

as i said... this plays out BEFORE the wc campaigns.
Just because they didn't live there or knew of kalimdor in the wc3 campaign does that have to mean that they could never have lived there once upon a time but have been forced out of the lands by something? Something that happened so long ago that it had disapeared from the memory of man long ago, except for perhaps by tales told by the bonfire in small villages?
And about the night elves, if there freakin' elves can have lived their whole life without knowing about their nightly cousins then sure the elfin elves can have been living a pretty secluded life within their forests not knowing of the humans on the other side of kalimdor?

If you can show me an url where blizzard state that humans never lived in kalimdor, ever. Then i'll agree that i have done a misstake. But if there is just the slightest creephole to interpret the history the way i want it to then i see nothing wrong with that.
From what i can see on blizzards homepage they rather suport the possibilty if this beeing true by mentioning that the night elves have been hiding for centuries. (and no they did not mention how many centuries.)
I really can't see why this should be a problem, and i can't see a way in which you could find me "guilty" of "defiling" the history of warcraft with my background.

I guess it was good that you brought it up so i could set that straight, but otherwise i'd not like to fight with you about this beeing good or not since i'd like to finish making a map of mine tonight or tomorrow. But as i said, if you can show me where blizzard states something about it then i will of course concider altering the background for my mod.

Our first concept art picture has been added to our homepage.
I added it as soon as i finished cleaning it up, just click on the small pic and it will open in a new window. I'll make the new window to resize around the picture once i finish the more important work.

Go to dancing-lights.mine.nu for the homepage.

[un]fortunaly it seems like i will finally get another job, so that means i will have only about 3 hours of free time, thus i won't be able to be as active as i'd want to with the project.
But i'll still work with it every hour of my free time.

Currently a good friend of mine will be gathering some modellers and skinners so i see no need to recruit any more from here. (would just end up with too many cheffs and no soup so to speak.)
Right now what we would need is another map maker to help me out with the work.
Neither will we need any more triggerists (nice word.) untill all the maps are completed.

Thanks to everyone who applied to help out so far.
