wut lags maps beisides internet and poeples connections? like does units, buildings, triggers, doodads, stuff like that, cause my map is starting to lag-alot(that has a nice ring to it). |

Guest | Map size and triggers can cause major lag and in some cause auto drop people. try to use less triggers and such to cut down on lag. |

but units cause lag also right? cause my map has alot of units |

units cause lag on slower computers though , lots will cause lag on any computer but it has to be LOTS, one of the maps I'm working on has over 500 pre-placed units and even my slower comp (700mhz) doesnt lag with it periodic event triggers are the most common cause of unnecisary lag that I have seen, if they fire to often they can cause mega lag even if they do something very simple like update a leader board. I try to keep periodic triggers above 1min if they are necisary. |
