Guest | Man.... I can't believe no one tried making this Mod/Campaign The Silmarillion is based on the beginning of Time before LOTR. The Missions will be based on each Chapters including the Ainur and the Account of the Valar, and the Silmarillion, and the Fall of Numenor. Each Chapter and book will have 2 mappers 2 skinners/modellers 2 triggers I hope this campaign becomes a first as will many other Middle Earth campaigns will come out.... -Cpt Crapper NOTE: There will be a website on this project. It's still being worked on... |

Guest | Dear C p t C r a p, I have been quite amazed with WarCraft 3's abundant acceptance of the Lord of the Rings mythos. Indeed, I would enjoy seeing more of Tolkien's work transported to the realm of WarCraft 3. However, the Silmarillion presents an interesting problem. Unlike the battle for Helm's Deep and the rest of the events surrounding the fellowship, the Silmarillion is not an objective based story. In the Lord of the Rings, a distinct objective is presented which is then carried out through rising action, resulting in a climax (the destruction of the ring). But, the Silmarillion is a story-telling, a historical recounting of things that have happened. In short, what are the players going to do? What kind of WarCraft 3 level would you make for the 3 songs of Illuvata? How are people going to interact with the story of the Silmarillion other than being passive spectators? I don't wish to dishearten you. I would greatly like to see characters such as Tulkas and Ulmo and Faenor represented in a WarCraft 3 environment. But, how is this game going to be fun and what are the players going to do? |

Guest | hmmm. hey. Undertow. I was thinking of that, and I wouldn't want to spoil that. Like when Melkor destroys the Lamps... you're Tulkas. Search for him. |

Guest | hmmm.... Hey Undertow. Its mission objectives. Take the Strife of Numenor. As Ar Pharazon... you must go to the area and seize the throne. |
