Guest | Wow. Did I really just almost quote Star Trek? Headache must be worse than I thought. Anyway, headache got that way from busting my *** on my first map for the last week (I didn't play any games mon-fri) and getting about 1 post response (on a different website). So as to restrain from the need to post until the map is done (at the most), I wouldn't mind having a small team. I could use someone of any category, so long as they aren't a pro (because I'd be wasting your time) and aren't a newb (because I can at least get my feet off the ground) at what they do. What I really need though, badly, are. -A temporary trigger teacher. Get me really good with triggers, hopefully as skilled as I was with SC maps. Then ya get on your merry little way and get all the more respect from...me is all I guess (and obviously map credits). -A skinner. Something not many of us do, and something that takes serious time. I'm probably only going to custom skin a few chars per map, and only 1/10 maps I make. I think skins and reactions (controls of the game, ect) are what really define the difference between a new experience, and a new map. -A terrain editor. Just somebody to lay the foundation, and glaze over when I'm done. Very short and sweet job. -Someone who gets custom upgrades, and for awhile someone who gets custom spells too. I could REALLY use some help here as the map I'm working on PLUS the campaign my mind came up with both revolve around new spells or techs. -A very worn out Syco, pleaing for someone to please help...a little? |

Guest | Nono, you totally misunderstand me. I have notes and crap of what I've been working on down in the development forum. This one is for team gathering. I'm not saying what I'm working on, because it's not a series or campaign (although I did cook one up for IF I get a team and launch some successful maps). The whole point of this post is to show how much I'm busting my *** for these maps, for this community. So far I haven't gotten much back, but we'll see after I release a map. But, if it keeps up like this, I'll just play like everyone else. I'd love to donate time and effort to this community, but not in vain. And not without SOMETHING back. Truth is, my mind makes ideas faster than I can create. I already have three maps in the works, all based off different things. I move pretty quickly in the editor, but if I hit a snag on a map, there's nobody there to help. So it pretty much gets thrown in the attic and never completed, when it could be the verge of something great. All I'm saying is if there's anyone willing to help me pump out ideas, to help me make gameplay better, I would be excruciatingly greatful. All I want is for any map I make to be recognized, regardless of who makes it, ect. ect...just the map itself. -Syco |

-A very worn out Syco, pleaing for someone to please help...a little? I think i got a spare one of those that i could contribute with :ggani: (ps: if you didn't understand that, it was because it was the last item on his list of things he needed badly.) |

Guest | Long past 12 here. I learned that, and long before 12, I learned that I have trouble devoting myself to something alone. Besides, why should I work very hard to build something that only MIGHT be recognized. I see alot of maps out there that are stupid, but people play more often than the good ones (Yugioh is played more than...I guess Gladiators, on west, on the hours I'm on). What's to make people care when the map is finished? A good map, done with full expertise, ect. ect. I can't do that alone (although I am getting some help now, I'm trying to prove a point). -Syco |

Guest | Its not the playing of the maps that counts, its that you have fun making it. |

specter's right. its just that felling in your heart of making something this kool and such. rember its fun to play if it was fun to make:D |

Guest | Alright, lemme get something clear. It's not that I'm not making a map out of the kindness of my heart, because that's not what mapmaking is. Most of the time, mapmaking, and gamemaking, is taking a vision or idea you have and turning it into something people can enjoy. When there are limits on that, like in my case the lack of ability to skin, then it becomes very hard. Hence such, if people aren't going to have equal enjoyment to the time and effort you put in, there is no point. -Syco |

Guest | Work isn't supposed to be fun. I see your point, but it's different points of view. I try to make my projects so...(something between powerful and diverse, I can't think of the word) that even if I don't have fun making them, they are fun to play. Besides, where's the fun in triggers? :ggani: -Syco |

I wouldn't mind helping. I'm juggling alot of work already though so most of it would be done in the wee hours... I can do terrain groundwork and check it if u can get me some basic concept, and I can make custom techs and some custom spellwork. the problem i have with spellwork is i don't know how to add new artwork. PM me if u want my help |
