How can I make a custom unit buildable?

See topic! I can't do it, I try and clone a unit and change everything, but I still cant make it buildable.

And is there anyway I can change a summon spell to summon something different like instead of a Water elemental to a Custom unit.

I dont know much about trigger editing or string editing as I have read about in other posts, so I am hoping for an easier way.

Ok, I been fidling with this as well, I have a solution - its dirty and im not sure if its what you were thinking, but here goes:

You want to goto the unit editor and goto buildings and barracks (for the humans in this instance). Now one of the options it will come up with is "Trained Units" double click on it and a list of trained units will pop up.

Now Click "ADD UNIT" and up comes the unit selection box - pick what unit ya want the barracks to build (there is a drop down box with the different races in it) and then click ok and ok again in the unit listing box...now add all the important bits (start loc, et al) and test it - your barracks can now build that unit =)

Dirty? This is the simplest most straightfoward and logical way to do it. It is the only way that really works. Dirty would be using a trigger or something. The only cleaner solution is ask Bliz to make your unit official.
