If you know some good stuff, write a tutorial about it! Now if your tutorial is usefull and innovating, we will even post (a link to) it on the main page! The format we would like it to be is either: 1) HTML (but don't overdo it on the colors and such, as we use StyleSheets for the colors on this page) or 2) Notepad! Yes, this is quite effective, just sticking your text in there (with some editorial notes like [Big Text]How to edit the ... [/Big Text] and [image002.jpg]) will do the trick. Thanx for the attention and be sure to send (or attatch) the tutorials!! Greetz, DJBnJack Ps. for those that weren't aware that we were hosting tutorials, check here |

I see you accept tutorials in txt format but where can I find them for download? I'd like to download the tutorials so I can read them offline and have them handy while I work. Now before you say it, I know I can copy and paste but with the bigger html tutorials on your site sometimes it didn't work for #%@. It would only copy parts... don't ask me why I've done this plenty of times with no issues with other stuph but these are giving me problems. :( Please advise. And yes, I am a "n00b" here but wasn't everybody at some point!? :p |

Well.. most of the tutorals were submitten in html format... It IS however a good idea to make 'em available for download with pictures and all. Noted :) Greetz, DJBnJack Ps. You can't do File->Save in your browser (not bitching, just wondering) |

Duh, never thought of that. However, I still would like to have txt or doc format so I can print them out. :D (we womenfolk are needy) PS: If you need someone to convert the html files to doc I may be convinced to volunteer. I've done a few tutorials and procedures in my day. ;) |

Guest | Here is a link to a tutorial I wrote lastnight just in case people didn't know what power this editor has. It has pictures and all in case you are a visual learner. It is a very beginner tut, but nonetheless some people may need it. Custom Tilesets *note it is in very rough HTML because if you do host it all my design would change via the CSS. If it is unreadable or something let me know and ill just make a pretty version. |

THANX! I'll try to get it posted nicely tonight... Greetz, DJBnJack |

I didn't know about the blue squares (unbuildable), and that you could specify the overlapping order of the tiles. Cool, thanks! PS: Some minor tutorials can be found on my homepage, see link in signature |

Here is my small skinning tutorial in a zip, it is in html format, but since i can't host it, and you can't post html files, you have to extract it yourself :). You can add this one to the tutorial section of the site ofcourse. |

There is a lil error in there Pencil..... one that is well obvious when u read it.... u have to send the images with the tut or ppl can't see them because u most likely linked to your hard drive when making the tut.... |

I have written two articles about editing MiscData.txt. You can find it on my homepage (=> sig). Please tell me if you find them cool. Two other articles are about SC. You may give them a read. |

Use Frontpage |

Any Microsoft HTML editor is terrible. I am a web designer of 4 years, so I should know :) The pages do load, for sure, but the source is so unreadable and the load time is so long its unbearable. |

If you use WORD the source will be f*cked up. But if you use Frontpage 2002 it wouldn't. OK, If you insert a WordArt it'll (because then it creates a XML file and adds so much trash to the source), but then I use a little trick (I will not explain this here). Just go over to my website and prove it (remember that the part for the advertisement will be added after my upload, so MY source starts a bit later). |

I would love to write one in html format, but im not sure what program i would have to use to make it compatable with this site. Could i get some names of ones that work? or does any old program work? EDIT: nvm, i found one that should work, and if it doesnt then ill just find another. |
